Pay rate is related to recent hands-on experience, LNA license status (not required), and shift.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
  • Follows resident care plans in providing services to residents.
  • Perform safety checks and toileting rounds on residents.
  • Document information pertaining to changes in resident’s functional status, personal needs, behaviors, etc.
  • Report concerns about residents to supervisor and co-workers.
  • Respond to resident calls and emergencies; arrange for appropriate medical attention.
  • Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, facility operations, and personnel.
  • Review the Staff Communication log on a daily basis for information about changes in resident service needs and/or health conditions.
  • Do resident laundry as needed, including washing, folding, and returning to rooms.
  • Perform light housekeeping of common areas.
  • Assist in keeping the environment safe for residents.
  • Performs all other duties assigned.

Education and Qualifications

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally, with the ability to read, write and understand English
  • Able to regularly lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 50 pounds
  • Spend long periods of time walking/standing
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, with a high school degree or equivalent GED
  • MUST be reliable

Preference will be given to candidates with 1-2 years prior experience working with the elderly, preferably in a residential setting and to who hold a Licensed (or Certified) Nursing Assistant Certificate.
