• Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.
• Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage
• Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment
• Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations
• Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities
• Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs
• Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Other duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2+ years (telecom technician)
• Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license
• Customer Service
• Communication (verbal, written)
• Basic Computer Skills
• Aptitude to learn to skills
• Problem solving
• Time Management
• Teamwork
• Working alone
• Ability to read and interpret maps
• Bucket Certified; Ohm’s
• Understand the Outside Plant
• Knowledge of Ladder; Hand or Power Tools

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time

• Working outside in various weather conditions

The base salary in Pennsylvania for this position is $21.47-$35.73per hour plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Pennsylvania and may not be applicable to other locations.
