Job Summary:Â
The Quality Technician is responsible for performing inspections, tests, and documentation to ensure that beverage products meet all company, customer, and regulatory quality standards. This role monitors in-process production, conducts routine quality checks, and enforces GMP and food safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced in quality control within food or beverage manufacturing.Â
Key Responsibilities:Â
- Perform line inspections including fill weights, torque, packaging integrity, and label placementÂ
- Conduct checks for pH, Brix, temperature, and visual defectsÂ
- Monitor cleaning and sanitation effectiveness as part of environmental quality checksÂ
- Follow company SOPs and testing protocols with precisionÂ
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and tests per company SOPsÂ
- Report non-conformances, deviations, or product defects to QA Lead or ManagerÂ
- Support documentation for holds, rework, or corrective actionsÂ
- Monitor production and packaging areas maintain quality and cleanliness standardsÂ
- Participate in internal audits, inspections, and safety drills when requiredÂ
- Handle QA samples properly and dispose of waste in compliance with plant protocolsÂ
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally to operators and supervisorsÂ
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs, PPE requirements, and hazard reportingÂ
- Perform all other duties or tasks assigned by management to support departmental or company objectives.Â

- Inspection Completion Rate: Timely, accurate execution of scheduled checksÂ
- Documentation Accuracy: Error-free logs, reports, and test resultsÂ
Required Qualifications:Â
Education & Experience:Â
- High school diploma or GED requiredÂ
- 1–2 years of quality assurance or production experience in food/beverage industry preferredÂ
Skills & Competencies:Â
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and basic lab proceduresÂ
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, production orders, and safety instructionsÂ
- Strong attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Ability to communicate effectively with operators and supervisorsÂ
- Basic computer and data entry skills (Excel, QA systems) l within food or beverage manufacturing.Â

- Complete accurate and timely QA documentation, logs, and checklistsÂ
- Record batch, lot, and sample information with attention to traceabilityÂ
- Report non-conformances, deviations, or product defects to QA Lead or ManagerÂ
- Support documentation for holds, rework, or corrective actionsÂ
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to GMP, HACCP, and food safety guidelines at all timesÂ
- Ensure production and packaging areas maintain quality and cleanliness standardsÂ
- Participate in internal audits, inspections, and safety drills when requiredÂ
- Handle QA samples properly and dispose of waste in compliance with plant protocolsÂ
Cross-Functional Support
- Collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Maintenance teams to uphold quality standardsÂ
- Communicate quality concerns clearly and professionally to operators and supervisorsÂ
- Assist in root cause investigations and corrective action processes as neededÂ
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Inspection Completion Rate: Timely, accurate execution of scheduled checksÂ
- Documentation Accuracy: Error-free logs, reports, and test resultsÂ
- First Pass Yield: Products passing QA checks on first runÂ
- Deviation Response Time: Time to identify and escalate non-conformancesÂ
- Audit Readiness: Compliance during internal or external QA audits Â
