What You’ll Do as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) 

As a CNA, you will provide hands-on care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, supporting individuals with age-specific medical needs across our residential programs.

Daily Responsibilities

  1. Assist with daily living skills, personal hygiene including bathing, grooming, and oral care

  1. Support individuals with toileting, repositioning, ambulation, and transfers

  1. Monitor and report changes in individuals' condition to the supervising nurse

  1. Support community engagement and recreational activities

  1. Prepare meals and maintain a clean, organized home environment

  1. Transport individuals to appointments and community activities

  1. Administer medications as directed 

  1. Provide feeding assistance, including support with feeding tubes

  1. Perform basic wound care and catheter/colostomy care per facility protocol

  1. Measure and record fluid intake and output

  1. Identify and apply preventative measures for high-risk conditions (falls, choking, Narcan use)

  1. Maintain accurate documentation and advocate for individuals served

  1. Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered support

Qualifications

  1. Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

  1. Must be at least 18 years old.

  1. Valid driver’s license.

  1. GED or High School Diploma 

  1. Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English

  1. Compassionate, dependable, and team- oriented 

  1. Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
