JOB SUMMARY
Pennant Services, Inc. seeks a talented and energetic Revenue Accounting Resource (Revenue Accountant II). This candidate will play a key role in our growing company, as it serves the needs of our rapidly expanding heath care services client base across the United States. Qualified candidates must have a degree in accounting or finance, a CPA licensed is highly encouraged but not required. The Revenue Accounting Resource will have a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant responsibility for the month-end close process and balance sheet review and analysis. This position is a hybrid role based in Eagle, Idaho at the Pennant Service Center or fully remote role.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee accounting transactions across range of business processes (e.g., revenue, accounts receivables, deferred revenue)
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret and evaluate large accounting, financial, and operational data sets to review and follow-up on revenue cycle results with field partners and Director of Revenue.
  • Prepare general ledger entries as needed to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial results for month-end close. Review financial statements, compare actual results to historical trends and investigate and explain variances.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting deadlines and all accounting/reporting activities are performed in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Strong experience preparing, reviewing, and enhancing complex balance sheet reconciliations, including identifying, researching, and resolving reconciling items
  • Maintain and monitor applicable SOX controls including documentation and testing
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits through preparation of reconciliations, control evidence, and requested documentation.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-6+ years of relevant experience in an accounting function is required
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA not required, but highly encouraged
  • Proficiency in Excel, advanced functions, Power Query, SQL, and data validation
  • Strong team player and leader, highly motivated
  • Able to work some off-hours necessary to complete the close process.
  • Healthcare experience a plus
