Job DetailsJob Location: Eagleville Hospital - Eagleville, PA 19403Salary Range: $36.00 - $40.00 HourlyThe Building Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Eagleville Hospital’s infrastructure, utilities, and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. The Building Engineer ensures that our facilities remain functional, comfortable, and aligned with our operational goals, directly supporting the mission and daily activities of the organization. This role combines technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems with hands-on maintenance and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities Maintenance, installation and repair of commercial / residential HVAC systems and HVAC & Boiler equipment Strong Knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex building system issues Proficient in understanding Building Management Systems (BMS) When needed, work with Electrical systems and be able to troubleshoot electrical control circuits Ability to troubleshoot fire alarm systems, sprinkler and emergency systems Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or water leaks and a rotating on-call schedule Maintain and update work orders and daily logs Will require a valid driver's license in good standing to drive Eagleville vehicles Skills Preventive Maintenance: Building engineers conduct scheduled inspections, implement preventive maintenance programs, and maintain service records to extend equipment life and prevent system failures Safety Awareness: Knowledge of applicable safety rules and regulations Communication: Ability to coordinate with management, contractors, and tenants effectively Work Environment: This position requires working in a variety of environments including office settings, outdoor settings, and various building locations. Responsibilities also include snow removal when needed. Experience in Carpentry and Lock repairs; Painting, Patching and Wall Coverings is a plus Ability to use hand and power tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams Physical ability to lift 50 pounds QualificationsEducation and Qualifications High School graduate or GED (Required) Valid driver’s License A minimum of two (2) years of specialized training for HVAC (Required) A minimum of 4 years’ full-time HVAC experience Experience working on plumbing systems and operational functions Experience working with Boilers (Preferred) Experience: Prior experience in facilities maintenance or engineering is required.
