Laser Programmer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laser Operator / Programmer to support production in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced in CNC or laser operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines to cut and engrave materials according to specifications
• Program and optimize laser cutting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser equipment
• Select and adjust materials as needed for production runs
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job specifications
• Maintain standard work procedures and production flow
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and 5S activities
• Follow all quality system policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Complete required production and quality documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of CNC programming or laser operation experience
• Ability to operate laser cutting machinery
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with tape measures and calipers
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment required
