Concreteworks East is a leading fabricator of custom architectural GFRC products, specializing in rain screen cladding, wall panels, stairs, and other complex building components. We partner with architects, contractors, and developers across the country to deliver high-quality, design-driven concrete solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Estimator with strong experience in architectural construction to join our growing team.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Estimator is responsible for reviewing architectural drawing sets, performing quantity takeoffs, preparing detailed cost estimates, and developing project proposals for clients. This role is central to our pre-fabrication process and requires close collaboration with sales, production, and operations teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural and structural drawing sets for custom GFRC scopes.
- Perform accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs using Blue-beam.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates and written proposals.
- Communicate professionally with clients, architects, and contractors via email, phone, and Microsoft Teams.
- Coordinate with internal departments—including production, project management, and operations—to verify scope, fabrication considerations, and pricing input.
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and supplier quotes.
- Assist the Director of Sales in forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management.
- Train, mentor, and delegate tasks to junior estimators as needed.
- Maintain organized estimating files, logs, and templates.
- Support continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience with GFRC, precast, or other architectural façade systems.
- Familiarity with rain screen assemblies, building envelopes, and related construction details.
- Ability to estimate complex, custom, or one-off fabrications.
- Experience working with CRM systems or project tracking software.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural or construction estimating, preferably with custom or specialty building products.
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for quantity takeoffs is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, formatting, analysis).
- Excellent written and verbal communication; must present professionally in virtual client meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or Business (preferred).
- Strong understanding of building construction practices, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Comfortable communicating with vendors and requesting detailed quotes.
- Must have experience in Construction estimatingÂ
