We are hiring for a FIRST SHIFT - Line Lead in our Processing Department

Hours are: 5:30 am - 2:30 pm (with some mandatory OT)

Line Leader is responsible for assisting the supervisor of the Processing Department in overseeing the production team's activities. Will provide the supervisor with input on the employee's counseling and performance evaluations. Additionally, will assist the supervisor with the day-to-day production process, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. The primary responsibility is to ensure that staff meet their production, quality, and safety goals. In the absence of the department supervisor, the leader will assume their duties.

Responsible for supervising all operational & safety-related functions of company equipment & machinery such as Mixers, Mixer-grinders, Grinders, Stuffers, Frank-o-matics, Pallet Jacks, High Lifts, & other production-related machinery.

Must be consistent & reliable in attendance.

Ability to use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understand all aspects of company recipes.

Must be capable of lifting 20 to 80 lbs. bags of recipe spices. Must be able to pull/push cages with raw meat weighing between 290 to 1,800 lbs. using proper techniques as explained during safety training.

Must have the ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations to management and other team members of the organization.

Must be capable of tracking product yields, pump percentages, & formulating meat blocks.

Responsible for overseeing all production-related activities about the Product and the traceability of Computer System Deacom.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems.

Must be able to work/train employees in a fast-paced refrigerated environment.

Must be able to engage and motivate the production team while setting a professional example.

Must be able to report to management staff safety, quality, productivity, and attendance issues from employees.

Operate machinery & plan staff scheduling/rotation/tasks.

Report plant machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.

Must ensure employees are wearing mandatory PPE. (Earplugs, aprons, gloves, boots) and chemical PPE to the qualified employees.
