PPCO Truck Mechanic

We are currently recruiting for a full time Diesel Mechanic to join our team.   

The mechanic will perform maintenance associated with our delivery fleet, trailers and forklifts. 

Duties to include:

• Monitoring and documenting all phases of vehicle maintenance.
  • Preventative maintenance and service of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals
  • Documentation of PM reports & equipment repair logs
  • Hydraulic and engine repairs

 Qualifications

• Requires experience repairing gas/diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
• Welding, torching and small fabrication skills is a plus
• Must have at least 1 year experience working as a mechanic
• Experience in repairing truck brake systems (including hydraulic and air), and electrical systems
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be able to lift 80 lbs when necessary
• Must have own tools
• Clean motor vehicle record
• CDL preferred but not required
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision

This is a full time position with overtime.   The hours during our peak season are 5:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.  Some Saturday hours required 5:00-10:30 during peak season.  Hours are adjusted during off peak season.
