onsemi is seeking a Process Engineer - Defect in our Hopewell Junction, East Fishkill, NY. In this position, develop and deploy inline inspection strategies to reduce MTTD (mean time to detect) and drive defect improvement to meet industry competitive yield standards.  Defect engineers provide analysis and subject matter expertise to identify signals, excursions and continuous improvement opportunities.  The position’s primary focus is to develop and improve the defect yield management system. This includes maintaining and improving data mining capabilities and analysis techniques. They work with technical experts in integration and process engineering to solve complex technical problems contributing to yield loss, mapping business processes to innovate and create new applications for future needs.Â
