Madden’s is currently seeking Spa Professionals to perform nail services in our high end lakeside spa. Duties and Responsibilities Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service. Provide consistent professional nail, hand, and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices. Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa. Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls. Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training guests in these areas. Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures. Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required. Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention. Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions, and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available. Handle guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously. Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction. Possess the ability to work without direct supervision. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment. Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa. Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management. Regular and reliable attendance.   Skills and Abilities: Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings. Proficiency with Gel Nail application. Ability to sell products to our clients based on the products you use while rendering services. Experience with nail art is highly desirable.   Education/Experience: Valid MN Nail Technician or Cosmetology License.  Experience is preferred, but not necessary.  Manager’s license is a plus.   Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not require any supervisory responsibilities.   Work Environment: Work is performed in a quiet and relaxing spa environment.     Physical Demands: Primarily sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must have the ability to stand, walk, talk/hear, both in person and by telephone, occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch.   Expected Hours of Work: mid-April through December and with rotating 9-5 and 10-6 shifts.  We do require weekend work, either every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday), or one weekend day every week (Saturday or Sunday).   Travel: Less than 10% travel required.
