Overview

Responsible for writing body shop damage estimates, negotiating with customers/insurance adjusters, and all related accounting functions, while performing other income-related activities in the absence of the body shop manager.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly and give fair estimates on cost and time required for bodywork. Break down estimates into labor and parts before job is started.
  •  

  • Follow standard operating procedures with DRP programs.
  •  

  • Schedule appointments and transportation for customers with rental agency and/or Hoffman shuttle service.
  •  

  • Document daily in CCC1 & DealerTrack.
  •  

  • Communicate effectively with customer/insurance/technician throughout the repair process. Prepare supplements and obtain insurance company approval in a timely fashion.
  •  

  • Revise and approve time allowances for each job.
  •  

  • Follow-up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability. Keep track of returned parts, credits, etc.
  •  

  • Answer phone calls, set up appointments, and take messages as necessary.
  •  

  • Monitor quality control throughout the repair process.
  •  

  • Follow all policies and procedures as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act policy.
  •  

  • Prepare final billing for completed repair orders. Perform cashiering duties, along with accounts receivable follow up. Maintain accounts receivables below sixty (60) days.
  •  

  • Meet training requirements.
  • Qualifications

  • Appraiser’s license required
  • High School Diploma
  •  

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service orientated environment preferred
  •  

  • Can adapt and embrace change with an internal and external customer centric mindset
  •  

  • Act as an advocate for teammates and have a strong commitment to technology advancement
  •  

  • Possesses effective communication skills: oral, written, listening.
  •  

  • Works well with customers, promotes a positive image of the company, strives to solve issues raised by customers.
