This leadership role focuses on enhancing teacher capacity to deliver high-quality Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions that address both academic rigor and behavioral support. By bridging student achievement with social-emotional growth, the Coordinator ensures that intervention systems build deep understanding, align with curriculum standards, and enhance student ownership of learning. Key Responsibilities Direct the implementation of the school’s academic and behavioral Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention frameworks across the elementary grades. Serve on the building leadership and data teams to evaluate comprehensive student data, including academic benchmarks and behavioral indicators to align classroom practices with district goals. Model best pedagogical practices through demo lessons that pair core content instruction (Science of Reading, literacy, and math) with proactive classroom management and behavioral support strategies. Partner with teachers to design standards-aligned formative and summative assessments, develop differentiated lessons, and create individualized student intervention plans that target root causes of student struggles. Utilize established evaluation systems to provide teachers with clear, supportive, and actionable feedback to improve both instructional delivery and classroom climate. Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Strong background in early childhood and elementary curriculum, specifically in math, science, literacy, and the Science of Reading. Demonstrates understanding of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS/SRBI), multi-faceted behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed or restorative practices. Thorough knowledge of Common Core Standards, Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards (CT ELDS), and CT DOTS. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships and work cooperatively with all instructional and support staff.   Qualifications SKILLS Demonstrated leadership skills, and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all staff.Experience in analyzing data to plan for instruction. Demonstrated strength in organization, and efficiency in meeting deadlines.Strong leadership skills.Outstanding presentation and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills KNOWLEDGE Content knowledge, strong knowledge of best pedagogical practices, knowledge of the curriculum.
