Job DetailsJob Location: East Hartford, CT 06118Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Education The Connecticut River Academy (http://www.ctriveracademy.org) is a Sustainability Studies/Early College magnet school operated by Goodwin University on its river campus in East Hartford serving students in grades 6 through 12.  We are actively searching for a full time 6 Grade Mathematics Teacher in the Middle Grades Program to join our dynamic team of educators.   An ideal candidate is someone who has an ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds and interests.  The Middle Grades Program (grades six through eight) bridges the academic and social-emotional success for scholars as they progress from Riverside Magnet School (pre-kindergarten to grade five) to the CT River Academy (grades nine through twelve).   The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong desire to work with students from urban and suburban settings, and possess an understanding of and appreciation for multicultural education.  Mathematics 7-12 (029) or Mathematics, Middle School 4-8 (229) certification or evidence of eligibility is required.  Upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply. This position will remain open until a qualified candidate is found and accepts an offer of employment.  EOE.
