The Part-Marking/Assembly Technician will perform part marking on a variety of materials in various methods from Dot Peen, Electrolytic Etch, Vibro Peen, and 2D Matrix marking.  The role will set up and operates all Assembly equipment and assembles parts per customer requirements. 

This role is for 1st shift. 1st shift is 7am-3:30.

This role is 100% in office at our plant in East Hartford, CT.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Mark all components per customer requirements and verified marking cards
  • Perform all assembly responsibilities in a cell.
  • Assemble and adjust complex components, mark, label and package parts. 
  • Develop and document assembly procedures
  • Set up and operate multiple assembly machines and processes. 
  • Perform all responsibilities within productivity and quality expectations.  
  • Act as a troubleshooter for assembly process problems, resolving issues or escalating to appropriate parties.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of various mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance. Perform first piece and in-process inspection. Use a variety of conventional and advanced inspection devices, and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications.
  • Identify defects and non-conformities (material, documentation and workmanship) to blueprints. Report non-conformance of materials or unusual conditions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor. 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Technical school training a plus.
  • 1-3 years of experience in similar position
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. 
  • Must be able understand operation sheets/blueprints, specifications and all applicable company/customer paperwork.
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Prior experience with Dot Peen, Electrolytic Etch, Vibro Peen, and 2D matrix marking
  • A familiarity with Collins and GE marking requirements a plus
  • A strong mechanical background is preferred
