National Novelty Brush Company (NNBC) has a job opportunity for a Full-Time Payroll Administrator and Accountant. The Payroll Administrator and Accountant will report to the Director of Finance and Information Technology. 

 Essential Accounting-Related Job Functions:

  • Perform monthly accounting close procedures, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and other monthly reporting requirements.
  • Produce variance analyses on inventory and/or other unusual transactions
  • Reconcile monthly invoices from benefit vendors.
  • Perform daily application of ACH customer payments to customer accounts.
  • Reconcile fixed asset purchases and reconciliations.
  • Maintain and update bill of materials as needed and perform cost updates for inventory items.
  • Provide product costing to the sales group.
  • Process accounts receivable credit memos. 
  • Manage petty cash disbursements and monthly reconciliation.
  • Manage quarterly and annual inventory counts.
  • Assist with audits, insurance renewals, and regulatory reporting.
  • Back up for Accounts Payable.
  • Performs other related duties and assists the Director of Finance and IT with special projects.

Essential Payroll-Related Job Functions:

  • Process in-house weekly and bi-weekly payroll for employees using ADP Workforce Now. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll tax filings and year-end reporting (W2 & 1095).
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate payroll-related activities with Human Resources and management.
  • Ensure all PTO is properly assigned.
  • Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and benefits.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • 2-4 years minimum related experience 
  • Experience with payroll and ERP software (SAP Business One and ADP Workforce Now is a plus).
  • Knowledge of payroll laws and tax regulations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, Excel, and Word
