 Full-Time Child Support Specialist Call Center Representative

     Location: E. Lansing, MI

Mandatory Paid Training | 2-4 weeks

$18.00 per hour in training and production

Hours:

Training and working hours are full-time, Start time Monday – Friday 9:30-6p.m.

     About The Role

    As a Full-Time Child Support Specialist Call Center Representative, you will be responsible for:  

  • Answer inbound calls regarding child support receipts and disbursements

  • Handle standards in a fast-paced, large call volume environment. 

  • Utilize multiple computerized systems, multi-tasking, and document each call.

  • Respond to Michigan child support inquiries, and complaints, using a standard script and procedures. 

  • Gather information, and research/resolve inquiries. 

  • Inform callers about services available and assess caller's needs. 

  • Provide peer-to-peer training for incoming training classes that transition to the call center floor. 


 Requirements to be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a High School Diploma or an equivalent level of education. 

  • Be able to successfully pass a background check and fingerprinting. 

  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills. 

  • 1-2 years experience in a call center environment. 

  • 2 years’ experience in payments, and data entry. 

  • Be able to type a minimum of 30 WPM (words per minute) on a computer. 

  • Have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship. 

  • The ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

  • A strong work ethic.

  • Effective and accurate written and verbal communication skills.

  • The ability to be detail-oriented.

  • Effective problem-solving skills.

  • The ability to be well organized.

  • Excitement for innovative technology. 

  • Calm conflict resolution and problem-solving skills. 

  • 100% attendance and punctuality commitment. 

  • The ability to work independently.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business needs, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for the role is $18.00
