Our Michigan office is hiring a Transportation Planning Intern for Summer 2026.At HNTB, you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter to all of us. This opportunity entails being under close supervision, assist departments by performing basic assignments in the areas including, but not limited to Science, Planning, Technology. This position is usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
Relocation and housing are NOT provided for this position.
What You’ll Do:
- Assists project team members with various support tasks.
- Conducts basic research and data collection.
- Maintains records, collections and files related to specific projects.
- Assist in the development of graphics, presentation materials and reports.
- Performs other duties assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program
What We Prefer:
Strong interest in transit, environmental or transportation planning work
GIS experience preferred
