POSITION:                      Team Leader

SHIFT:                             2nd 4:30pm-1:00am

FLSA STATUS:               Hourly

 

What You’ll Do (include but not limited to):

 

  • Enforce Safety and Quality guidelines- Both Departmental and Organizational 
  •   Solve/Troubleshoot problems and resolve issues/concerns in a timely manner. Apply preventative measures.
  •   Motivate your team and promote/display positive teamwork
  •   Conduct process audits to ensure work has been done thoroughly and correctly 
  •   Track and Report manpower for area
  •   Complete daily reports
  •   Present information to groups of Associates
  •   Monitor processes and procedures to maintain effective practices
  •   Provide process coverage if needed
  •   Assist in sound investigations to incidents within the department and assist countermeasure development
  •   Maintain daily, positive, and productive communication with all Associates
  •   Ensure all Associates are trained to and signed off on all Operation Standards
  •   Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers
  •   Support and serve as a role model for MEI’s KPI’s of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale and Environment
  •   Manage visual communication boards in production areas
  •   Keep work area organized with attention to detail
  •   Monitor all SQCDME (KPI’s) throughout daily operations
  • Act as a role model for all Associates and adhere to the company core values

  •   Maintain a customer service focus (both internal and external), ensuring and protecting our customer’s best interest
  •   Support leadership with other assigned duties and tasks
  •   Work Overtime as needed (Occasionally with little to no advanced notice)
  •   Assist in preparing/presenting presentations for staff meetings, management & Executive Meetings
  •   Assist in gathering and creating visuals for monthly reviews
  •   Keep inventory & proper distribution of PPE & Production supplies
  •   Ensure consistent acclimation of New Hire Associates
  •   Communicate company/Production change points and goals with enthusiasm and professionalism

 

Work Environment

·        Work will primarily take place in a warehouse/production environment

·        Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility

What We’re Looking For (Education, Experiences, Skills)

Must Have

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Introductory level experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Forklift or/or Tow-motor Certification
  • Ability to interact professionally within the company and with the customer
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • English
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility

 

   Nice to Have

  • 1-2 years Warehousing/Manufacturing/Logistics
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
