Maintenance Technician
Location:
Laundry Factory / Industrial Laundry Facility
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial laundry equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This position supports production by minimizing downtime and performing preventative maintenance on washers, dryers, conveyors, boilers, compressors, and other machinery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on laundry machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify issues and prevent breakdowns
- Repair washers, dryers, conveyors, presses, boilers, and related machinery
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and production downtime
- Maintain maintenance logs and repair records
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance comply with OSHA and safety regulations
- Assist with installation of new equipment and machinery upgrades
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas
- Monitor facility systems including plumbing, electrical, air compressors, and HVAC
- Work closely with production supervisors to maintain operational efficiency
Qualifications:
- Previous maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or laundry facility preferred
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently
- Basic welding and fabrication experience is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong attention to detail and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Flexible schedule, including overtime or weekends if needed
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with industrial laundry equipment
- Boiler and air compressor knowledge
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
