Carelink is hiring a part-time Hearing Aid Specialist to work a variable schedule 1-2 days per week.

This is a part-time position will average 8-16 hours per week.


Essential Functions

  • Provide patient counseling on hearing health and assistive devices
  • Fit, dispense, and maintain hearing aids and other assistive devices
  • Document patient information and progress in electronic medical records
  • Communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding patient care
  • Stay current on industry developments and advancements in technology

Requirements

  

Qualifications – Required

  • Experience working in audiology or a related healthcare field.
  • Certification from a recognized body like the National Board for Certification in Hearing Instrument      Sciences (NBC-HIS).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using audiometric equipment.
  • Ability to stay updated on the latest hearing aid technology and advancements.
  • Experience in sales or customer service.
  • Comfort with administrative and record-keeping tasks.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Science
  • State license in Audiology or Hearing Instrument Dispensing
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and hearing aid technology

Physical Demand/Work Environment

· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
