Party Host

The Party Host is instrumental in creating an innovative and fun family entertainment experience utilizing specialized skills and abilities.  Provide outstanding internal and external guest service at all times.  Ensure a positive guest experience with our guests and all Dream Makers while following all company policies and procedures

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES   

• On the event day, the sole point of contact for booking parent and respective party guests.
• Enthusiastically and professionally greet party guest and attendees.
• Maintain ordert to avoid customer congestion in the party waiting area.
• Explain all the needed rules and policies for the party.
  • Party Planners to provide rules and regulations for the park.
  • Ex. No running, foul language, cutting lines, loose articles on rides (flip flops, phones, etc) The chaperone is required to stay with any guests under the age of 16 years old.
• Responsible for setting up, cleaning up, and maintaining party tables and surrounding areas and setting up for the next party.
  • Ensure there is adequate space/seating for all party guests.
  • Responsible for picking up, setting up, and serving all food and beverages.
  • Ensure each party receives everything included in the package or any special requests.
  • Provide an exceptional birthday experience to birthday guests of honor and all parents and guests.
  • Restock and organize beverages, party supplies, and decor needed.
  • Make certain to monitor, clean, and remove all trash and debris from the party on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure all chairs, tables, and tableclothes are evenly aligned and tidy in area and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure all party gifts and belongings have been taken by party parents. Otherwise, contact the parent and place belongings in the Birthday Party Office (Ensure this has been communicated).
• Regular, reliable, and consistent punctual attendance.
• Additional duties as assigned.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Represent American Dream, Nickelodeon Universe, DreamWorks Water Park & Angry Birds with highest degree of professionalism
• Good listening skills when dealing with guests, coworkers and supervisors
• Ability to work as part of a team and in collaboration with other departments
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• An outgoing and energetic person that will entertain in a family party environment
• Prior experience as in a service position preferred, but not required
• An outgoing and energetic person who will entertain in a family party environment.
• A representative of American Dream with professionalism and a positive work ethic.
• A great listener who can communicate with guests, coworkers, and leadership.
• A team player who will work in collaboration with other departments.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Prior experience in a service position preferred.
• All hosts MUST be local to the NY/NJ area and must have reliable transportation. 
• Must have open availability Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and some flexibility on weekdays.

• Kneel/crouch– Periodically, up to 40%
• Reach at or above shoulder level – Frequently, 50%

• Handle/lift large items such as boxes or packages – up to 40lbs
• Bend/stoop/squat – Frequently, 50%
