Essential Functions
Â
- Capability of creating schedules for Cut to Size, Cross Cut, Rip Saws and Strip Line and monitoring of zero orders and yields when scheduling.
- Complete all functions relative to scheduling material to all areas of the plant through HPO
- Complete receiving procedures in Oracle and MRP Comp.
- Basic knowledge of Material flow and MRP SystemÂ
- Research Cycle Counts
- Perform tasks as outlined in Job Instruction Breakdowns, Quality Specifications, and Standard Operating Practices.
- Run daily, weekly, and monthly audits
- Conduct audit using the following tools:Â MRPCOMP, MRPPlanner, RFID equipment
- Determine the cause of audit failure
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Access, Etc.)
- Keep accurate and through records
- Record and report findings through the proper paperwork
- Actively participate on assigned teams and/or projects.
- Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. Provide support for kaizen events.
- Role model CITE and Working in Teams principles.
- Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor.

               Education, Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED) is required.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using computer based material management systems and proven proficiency with MRP systems is required.
- Excellent personal computer skills in a network environment; Microsoft products experience required - Outlook-Word-Excel-Access
- Experience in working in a team environment
- Strong planning, organization & time management skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common business documents such as pallet tickets, manufacturing schedules, or job orders. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers/clients in an effort to respond to common inquires or complaints.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts like addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to such tasks as inventory control, production tracking, material ordering, and job order verification.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and carry out an assorted number of job tasks or instructions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and walk for 8 hours a day, sometimes for as long as 12 hours if there is overtime. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle material and must be able to reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to speak and communicate with other employees, be able to hear well enough to recognize warning signals, forklifts, and announcements. Employee must be able to see different characteristics in wood products. The employee must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Indoor manufacturing environment, finishing production work, working with hazardous chemicals. Safety glasses and hearing protection are required and work gloves are recommended. The noise level is usually moderate to high (90-105 dB range). Relative Humidity is on average 30% in winter and can be up to 80% in summer with temperatures ranging from 50-100 degrees F. Occasional overtime and weekend work required.
