THE ROLE
We’re hiring an Inventory Control Clerk at our Commerce Park location. You’ll support the Inventory Specialist by performing the hands-on, physical tasks required to keep inventory accurate and materials moving through the facility. Including conducting physical counts, supporting movement of material through the facility and maintaining organized, clearly labeled storage areas. This role works under the direction of the Inventory Specialist and Materials Manager and coordinates closely with Shipping, Production and Planning teams.
Overtime: Employees must be willing to work daily and weekend overtime as business conditions require. Overtime will be paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform physical cycle counts and full inventory counts as directed by the Inventory Specialist; record and report count results accurately and on schedule.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders, and flag discrepancies to the Inventory Specialist for resolution.
- Apply and maintain accurate labeling and signage on bins, shelving and components; relabel locations as directed.
- Perform general housekeeping and organization of storage and staging areas to support inventory accuracy and a safe work environment.
- help identify overflow storage needs and relocate materials as directed by the Inventory Specialist.
- Support the coordination of materials for transfer to offsite storage or the 3PL warehouse.
- Track inventory moved to offsite/3PL locations and help reconcile those records against on-site inventory and 3PL-reported counts.
- Follow established inventory procedures and safety guidelines; bring suggested process improvements to the Inventory Specialist.
- Work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, supervisors and the Inventory Specialist.
- Complete or assist with other inventory-related tasks and projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift) or willingness to obtain certification.
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 40 lbs. and to stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn inventory/ERP data entry systems.
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be dependable, self-motivated and able to work well under general supervision.
- Willing to work extra hours as project or production needs dictate.

COMPENSATION
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.24 per hour. This role may also be eligible for shift differentials, overtime pay, and the full benefits package described above.
