Job Summary
The Easton Coherent SiC Quality team ensures the accuracy and reliability of measurements used to control manufacturing processes for silicon carbide (SiC) wafers. These measurements are critical to maintaining product quality across our global semiconductor operations.
As a Metrology Alignment Program Quality Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing and statistical analysis. You will support efforts to evaluate and improve measurement systems, working closely with engineers and technicians to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct Gauge Repeatability & Reproducibility (GRR) studies to assess measurement system performanceÂ
- Analyze data using JMP statistical softwareÂ
- Collect, track, and distribute samples for testing and evaluationÂ
- Perform measurements on key quality metrics for SiC wafer productsÂ
- Document findings and contribute to technical reportsÂ
- Present results and recommendations at the conclusion of the internshipÂ
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality initiativesÂ
Education & Experience
Education:
- Rising senior (completed 3 years) or recent graduate (within 1 year)Â
- Major in engineering, science, or statisticsÂ
- Must include a combination of technical field and statistics courseworkÂ
Experience:
- Familiarity with JMP or Minitab preferred
- Strong skills in Excel and data analysis

Working Conditions
- This role will be based on-site in Easton, PA
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
- Ability to work in our cleanrooms
Physical Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or in meetings.
- Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
- Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
- Â Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
