Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Easton , MD 21601Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High School/ GEDSalary Range: $15.00 - $28.84 HourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: DayJob Category: Transportation  Job Title: Truck Driver Reports To: Branch Manager/Warehouse Manager Location: Branch Pay Range:   $15.00 to $28.84 per hour Summary The Truck Driver will work with other members of the distribution team to increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by delivering complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to the company’s customers.  Driver will represent the company in a highly professional, safe and cost-effective manner that complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare truck for operation by assisting in and overseeing the loading of trucks, securing of items and verifying the accuracy of shipping papers Deliver orders via the most effective route to ensure complete orders are delivered according to established time frames and customers’ needs Document delivery, accuracy and receipt of orders by the customer according to company directives and report any discrepancies to company Maintain and monitor truck maintenance and driving record requirements, and maintain required documents for safety, security and quality processes Maintain a safe driving record free of violations Follow company policies and procedures (including safety initiatives and guidelines) Inspect truck tires, lights, brakes, fluids, etc. to ensure safe and cost-effective performance with preventive maintenance in mind Maintain communication with company during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received Perform occasional warehouse and counter duties Adhere to the rules and regulations as set forth in the Employee Handbook Other duties as assigned QualificationsQualifications Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience Strong customer service and/or problem solving- skills Clean MVA record Valid driver’s license Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 75lbs. Requires long periods of sitting Frequently ascends/descends from truck during deliveries Equipment Used Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as required Work Environment Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperature Available Benefits You will be eligible to participate in the Company’s benefits program on first of the month after 45 days of employment.
