Teaching Assistant ResponsibilitiesÂ
grade homework and exams for assigned courses and maintain written records of all grades earned by students in consultation with the course instructor; Â
participate in the consulting of students when necessary outside regular classroom hours; Â
provide support for lecture setup and demonstrations; edit/add Moodle content as neededÂ
attend all meetings and training sessions scheduled by the faculty member. Â
proctor for tests, including mid-term and final exams; or scheduled course meeting times in faculty member’s absence.Â
Work 20 hours per week for 15 weeks during the semester. Office hours and TA schedule are determined at the beginning of each semester.  Â

Student Interface ResponsibilitiesÂ
Run workshops for students in various topics/subjects of strengthÂ
Assist faculty liaison for ASID & IIDA in strengthening the student chaptersÂ
Provide ongoing academic support for students by way of tutoring, mentorship, etc…Â
Provide tutoring services to students in the field of Interior ArchitectureÂ
Administrative/Department ResponsibilitiesÂ
Provide individual walk-in appointments to students during office hoursÂ
Design various flyers and other marketing materials for department related events, such as CapstoneÂ
Assist the program assistant with the planning, marketing and implementation of all department programming: Â
Maintain department social media pages; including LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram; updating frequently with department activities/news. Â
Admissions related phone calls and emails to prospective students Â
Additional administrative tasks as directed by the department chairÂ
All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
