About the Role:

The Irrigation Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, primarily within golf courses and other landscaped environments. This position focuses on the installation, repair, and routine upkeep of irrigation equipment to promote optimal water distribution and landscape health. The technician will work closely with maintenance teams to diagnose system issues, perform timely repairs, and implement preventive measures to avoid future malfunctions. Attention to detail and a strong understanding of irrigation technology are essential to maintain system integrity and support sustainable water management practices. Ultimately, the role contributes to the aesthetic and functional quality of outdoor spaces by ensuring reliable irrigation performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in irrigation system repair and maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in irrigation technology or related field.
  • Experience working on irrigation systems.
  • Familiarity with automated irrigation controllers and smart irrigation technology.
  • Ability to operate small machinery and tools safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems including valves, sprinklers, controllers, and piping to ensure proper functionality.
