Responsibilities


Supports the care team by performing basic patient cares and non-clinical functions such as: Order entry, form completion, prior authorization, panel management, faxing, equipment cleaning, room cleaning/stocking, monitoring supply inventory/expiration dates, and other duties as assigned. Functions as a team member and displays professionalism while interacting with patients, families and co-workers. Demonstrates strong organizational skills, initiative, proficiency, and good judgment to optimize the use of the care team's time and maintain a smooth work flow. Exhibits appropriate use of telecommunications equipment and uses computer efficiently. Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality and excellence are important components of this role. Maintains regulatory requirements and follows system policies, procedures and standards. Our mission: We are dedicated to promoting the health and meeting the healthcare needs of our patients.

Qualifications


High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service experience. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge. Excellent customer service skills. Organizational and time management skills. Must be adaptable to a changing environment. Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Medical Assistant, certification preferred. Knowledge of Pharmacology principles preferred. Prior experience in health care/medical office preferred. Working knowledge of an Electronic Medical Record preferred.
