We’re proudly celebrating our 95th anniversary this year! We have a great opportunity to join our Eau Claire, WI Team as a Non-CDL Driver. This role is M-F, 4am-12:00pm. Drivers increase operational efficiency, company profitability, and customer satisfaction by providing on-time delivery services according to the mission and culture of JHL. Deliveries are accurate and dropped off at the customer’s preferred address. Drivers positively represent JHL while on customer sites and may need to work with customers for basic order problem solving. What’s In It For You? And more!   Responsibilities Include: Follow assigned route (sometimes across state lines depending on the route) and make timely deliveries/meet deadlines. Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and best practices for safety while on the road Unload and load trucks Perform basic truck maintenance such as refueling, making visual inspections, and reporting potential issues.  Keep trucks clean and organized Communicate with team members, branch manager, and/or customers as needed regarding delivery status, instructions and issues. Work in a team environment to ensure efficient operations Complete paperwork and reports related to deliveries as needed Assist the warehouse with picking and packing orders and restocking warehouse shelves, including wire reels and pipe, after route is complete Maintain accurate inventory management QualificationsEducation Highschool diploma or GED Experience and/or Training 1 year working in team environment 1 year experience driving a commercial vehicle, including in snow and ice conditions Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with team members. Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, punctual and reliable. Ability to work safely and accurately Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication) and reading skills 2+ years driving a commercial vehicle strongly preferred Up-to-date Federal Medcard preferred 2+ years in a warehouse setting, working with power equipment, an RF scanner, wire cutting, and pulling orders preferred Licenses/Certifications Valid WI Driver’s license Clean driving record Pass the DOT physical No CDL required We are committed to providing salary ranges for open positions.
