Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager

Supervisor: Store Manager

Classification: Full-Time or Part-Time, Non-Exempt


Position Objective:  Assist with Day-to-Day operations of the retail store and production department

 

Experience, Requirements:

  • Good Work Ethic 
  • Interest or Experience in working with reusable goods 
  • Coaching, teaching or teamwork experience desired
  • Communicate professionally and clearly 
  • Supervisor experience
  • Problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to work with a variety of people
  • Self motivated and able to work independently
  • Willing to be trained to use machinery
  • Mature Christian in agreement with Hope Gospel Mission’s Faith Statement and Christian Code of Conduct

Summary of Responsibility – Illustrative, not all inclusive:

  • Direct and support all logistics of physical donation 
  • Fill in for staff as needed or directed by supervisor
  • Cross-train in production departments
  • Assist in training new employees as needed
  • Work alongside Vocational Training participants and volunteers 
  • Set an excellent example of work ethic 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Motivated to accomplish and exceed, required tasks 
  • Ability to periodically lift up to 25lbs. 
  • Assist in maintaining the intentional, faith-based, healthy, healing community and code of conduct.
