Position Summary 

The Team Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership, direction, and support to assigned production team members while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and delivery expectations are achieved. This position serves as the frontline leader within the manufacturing operation by coordinating workflow, communicating priorities, and ensuring standard work processes are followed. 

The Team Lead works closely with the High Volume Supervisor to drive operational performance, develop employees, resolve production issues, and promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. 



Hours

3:30 pm - 12:00 am Monday - Friday



Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities of assigned production employees. 
  • Communicate production priorities, schedules, and expectations to team members. 
  • Monitor workflow and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards. 
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding production questions and issues. 
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices. 
  • Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with customer specifications, quality standards, and company procedures. 
  • Assist in troubleshooting production, equipment, and workflow issues. 
  • Escalate operational, quality, safety, or personnel concerns to the Supervisor as appropriate. 
  • Train, coach, and support employees on processes, procedures, and standard work. 
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. 
  • Ensure accurate completion of production documentation and records. 
  • Support inventory accuracy and proper material handling practices. 
  • Participate in daily production meetings and communicate key information to team members. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Perform production work as necessary to support operational requirements. 

 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience required. 
  • Prior leadership, lead, or informal leadership experience preferred. 
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, automation, or engineered-to-order environments preferred. 
  • Ability to lead and motivate employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience utilizing manufacturing systems, ERP systems, or production reporting systems preferred.

 Physical Requirements 

  • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching. 
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull, and move materials up to 50 pounds.
