Position Overview
The Plant Production Operator is responsible for the safe operation of processing equipment and heavy machinery.Â
Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Monitor and adjust plant equipment to ensure the product is consistent and free from quality defects.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment settings and product quality information.
- Follow established equipment operating guidelines and recognize issues as they arise.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members effectively.
- Operate wheel loader and forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
- Report on condition and items in need of maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

QualificationsÂ
Â
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Â
Experience:Â
- Previous experience in plant or industrial manufacturing operations or other related fields.
- Loader and forklift experience preferred.
Â
Skills
- Familiarity with basic tools and equipment.
- Adept at handling complex machinery.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to handle a physical workload and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an environment with dust and noise, and around equipment with higher than ambient temperatures.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods.
