Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is seeking a highly experienced and collaborative Director, Technical Architecture to lead the design, development, and integration strategy for enterprise applications leveraging Oracle Cloud Fusion, including business functions such as quote-to-cash, order management, procure to pay, finance, tax, and ancillary sub-systems. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Enterprise Systems and Digital Transformation, this role is responsible for defining architectural standards for our enterprise-wide digital transformation initiative (code name: Horizon), ensuring seamless integration across Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Configure Price Quote (CPQ), Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), other homegrown and legacy 3rd party systems, and guiding engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions aligned with organizational goals.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Architect and optimize the systems and data landscape supporting end-to-end supply chain and finance processes.
    • Establish reference architecture, standard frameworks, and best practices for cloud-based integrations and middleware.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Position blends architectural design with delivery execution, requiring cross-functional architecture leadership across business units and the ability to manage a development team accountable for day-to-day enhancements and support.
    • Working with the business units, lead definition, design and development of new requirements and capabilities leveraging Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Configure Price Quote (CPQ), and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) modules.
    • Lead design and implementation of integrations, extensions, SOAP and REST APIs, middleware, and data flows between Oracle Fusion and other enterprise systems.
    • Lead the Horizon Architecture Review Board, driving issue resolution and disciplined architectural decision documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with Oracle standards, security protocols, and performance benchmarks.
    • Working with the data engineering team, develop and manage end‑to‑end data models connecting customer systems to the ERP, ensuring that data relationships, structures, and integrations support business processes and reporting needs.
    • Implement robust testing strategies for integrations and extensions, including for automated regression and performance testing.
    • Manage the enterprise environment plan to control costs while ensuring the availability of appropriate environments to support testing, validation, and quality assurance activities.
    • Own DevOps practices, enabling fully automated build and deployment pipelines that support continuous delivery.
    • Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and audit standards.
  • Team Management:
    • Build and mentor a high-performing team of software engineers, architects, QA, Application Systems Specialists, and DevOps engineers.
    • Track and report on enterprise architecture KPIs to measure business value, risk reduction, and compliance.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other business units to understand integration requirements.
    • Work closely with Oracle consultants and vendors to optimize system performance and functionality.

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise architect role.
  • Proven expertise in ERP consolidations, implementations, and migrations within complex organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of middleware platforms (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, WebMethods).
  • Experience with Microsoft application development tools.
  • Experience with API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with data migration, ETL tools, and security compliance frameworks.
  • Experience managing multi-generational ERP platforms during transitions to target systems.
  • Strong foundation in enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams globally (offshore experience required).

We Would Also Prefer:

  • Experience in Oracle Fusion applications (ERP/SCM), CPQ, EPM, OIC tools, or similar platforms.
  • Background in print manufacturing or related industries is a plus.
  • Experience working within matrixed leadership structures or shared service environments.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

Travel Requirements:

  • This role requires travel to plant locations undergoing transformation.

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $167,280 - $230,010. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
