HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics (Travel)

Currently hiring HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanics for projects in the Eden Prairie, MN and Portland, ME area. Per diem of $125/working day available for those who qualify. This position is a minimum of 50 hours per week. As a HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic you are responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining high-quality sheet metal ductwork and components and reliable performance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. If you have 5 or more years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic apply now!

HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Lay out, fabricate, and install HVAC duct systems and sheet metal components  
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and layout plans  
• Cut, shape, join, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools, ensuring precise fabrication and alignment  
• Install commercial ductwork, including rectangular and spiral systems, along with hangers, supports, and accessories  
• Hang duct, set VAVs, RTUs, diffusers, registers, dampers, and flexible components  
• Seal systems, ensure proper alignment, and meet quality standards  
• Accurately measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal materials  
• Follow OSHA safety standards, safety protocols, and maintain a clean, organized work area

HVAC Sheet Metal Mechanic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years experience as a sheet metal mechanic
• Ability to pass a drug screen (if required)
• Your own reliable transportation and valid Driver's License
• Your own PPE and tools
• OSHA 10 preferred
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
