Summary:
The Warehouse Attendant supports efficient warehouse and manufacturing operations through receiving, inventory control, material movement and order fulfillment activities. This role is responsible for unloading and inspecting incoming shipments, accurately recording received goods, organizing inventory and performing regular cycle counts to ensure stock integrity. The Warehouse Attendant plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and organized warehouse environment while following company procedures and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments verifying contents against packing slips and invoices
- Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for shipment or delivery
- Accurately pick and stage components and materials for production orders in accordance with daily manufacturing schedules and bill of materials requirements
- Label and store items in designated locations
- Process receipts and inventory transactions using the ERP system
- Assist in inventory counts and maintain accurate records
- Operate forklift, pallet jack or other warehouse equipment safely and properly
- Report inventory discrepancies, damages, or safety hazards to Supervisor
- Support loading/unloading of trucks and containers as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse aisles, docks and storage areas
- Comply with all safety guidelines, policies and procedures
- Assist with other tasks as directed by Supervisor
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to accurately perform receiving, inventory and material handling tasks
- 1-2 Years of warehouse, shipping and receiving experience
- 1-2 Years ERP system experience, Epicor preferred
Physical Requirement
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching above shoulder level, and occasional lifting and carrying up to 50-75lbs. This position requires the use of a computer, printer, copier, writing utensils, pallet jack, electric forklift and ladder, and may require work at heights up to 20 feet. Employees may be exposed to temperature changes, dust and automotive exhaust within the warehouse environment. These physical requirements must be performed with or without accommodation.
