Overview

The ideal candidate should be personable, very familiar with the island, mature, responsible, well organized, detail oriented.  Prior hotel experience is not required but would be helpful.  The ideal candidate should have strong Microsoft Office skills including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel.  Familiarity with PMS Systems and/or graphic design software a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively assist guests with all aspects of vacation planning and execution including: pre-calling guests prior to arrival, clarifying hotel reservation details, advising/booking restaurants and activities, preparing guest agendas, carefully documenting guest all communications
  • Assist with menu and brochure collection from local businesses
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of major hotel events
  • Assist Department Heads with internal communications
  • Assist with creating hotel signage, newsletters, and restaurant menus
  • Assist with social media content creation and copy writing
  • Assist with local community outreach to help promote the hotel

Qualifications

  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Warm and Friendly personality with a can-do attitude (in person and over the phone)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (including: Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Some graphic design skills
  • Very detailed oriented and proactive
  • Must be able to work some weekends and holidays
  • Works well under pressure while maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor
