What Drives Success

As a lead, this distribution associate provides work leadership and performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials, supplies, equipment, and finished products. The person in this position must effectively coordinate warehouse and distribution teamwork activities for materials handling, forklift operations, and warehouse operations.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Lead the receipt of goods by receiving items against the shipment record and inspecting their condition.
  • Reject damaged, excess, or misdirected goods and route material to inspection, store, or other destinations.
  • Lead the selection, verification, and packing of shipments in accordance with specifications, equipment characteristics, and the transportation method.
  • Check goods against shipping documents and authorizations.
  • Verify product identification and quality.
  • Record received and shipped items according to established procedures.
  • Route materials, supplies, and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
  • Complete written and computerized documentation.
  • Resolve inventory variances, tracking errors, and a wide variety of other issues.

What We Are Looking For

  • Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires at least 5 years of related warehouse experience.
  • May require forklift certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of shipping and receiving warehouse and distribution procedures, including handling exceptions.
  • Requires basic reading, writing, and numerical ability.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Effectively coordinates warehouse distribution teamwork activities.
  • A valid driver’s license with a good driving record may be required.
  • Able to operate powered equipment, such as a forklift or a hydraulic jack lift.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

What We Offer

Compensation: This is an hourly non-exempt role. The starting pay range for this role and market is between $22.68/hr to $29.77/hr. Factors that may affect starting pay include geography/market, and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).

 

Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.

 

Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 10 days paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
