Role Overview: 


We are seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Production Operations Coordinator to work side‑by‑side with the Plant Manager supporting daily manufacturing operations. This role focuses on production scheduling, coordination with supervisors, and ensuring manufactured products remain on schedule. As a newly created position, this role will evolve over time and play a key part in helping structure and improve production planning processes.


Position Description: Production Operations Coordinator

The Production Operations Coordinator supports the Plant Manager in overseeing production schedules, tracking progress across multiple departments, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure production goals are met. This role requires manufacturing experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment. Marine or boat manufacturing experience is highly preferred but not required.

 

Essential Functions of this Role: (Position is Onsite)

Production Scheduling & Coordination

  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and monitoring daily and weekly production schedules
  • Work closely with production supervisors to track workflow and ensure manufactured products remain on target
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, delays, or resource constraints and escalate them to the Plant Manager
  • Support schedule adjustments based on production demands, staffing, materials, and priorities

 

Operational Support 

  • Work side‑by‑side with the Plant Manager to support daily manufacturing operations 
  • Assist with coordination between production, materials, quality, and other departments 
  • Participate in production meetings and communicate schedule updates as needed 
  • Support the Plant Manager with additional operational tasks as business needs require


Project & Process Support

  • Assist with project coordination and tracking within the production environment 
  • Help develop, document, and improve production scheduling and planning processes 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to efficiency, workflow, and production planning 
  • Contribute ideas and structure to help evolve this newly created role

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment 
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and production teams 
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, hands‑on production setting 
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and evolving responsibilities


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in marine or boat manufacturing 
  • Production scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting 
  • Project management or project coordination experience 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or production scheduling tools

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to spend extended time on the production floor 
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting 
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs occasionally
