Role Overview

 

The Distribution Lead plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the satellite warehouse, overseeing daily shipping, receiving, inventory, and order fulfillment activities. This position provides hands-on leadership to Distribution Associates, coordinates daily priorities, and ensures orders are processed accurately and on time. Distribution Lead also serves as a key point of contact for customers and operational needs while maintaining high standards for inventory accuracy, safety, organization, and service.

 

Location: 450 Raritan Center Pkwy, Edison, NJ 08837

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm

 

Responsibilities & Key Performance Indicators

 

·        Lead daily distribution operations by assigning and prioritizing work to ensure shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities are completed accurately and on time.

·        Maintain inventory accuracy by overseeing weekly cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring >95% accuracy for Service Parts and 100% accuracy for Finished Goods equipment.

·        Coordinate shipping and receiving activities across UPS, LTL, and other carriers while ensuring accurate order processing and timely customer deliveries.

·        Lead and support Distribution Associates through training, daily guidance, and reinforcement of safe and efficient warehouse practices.

·        Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-ready facility while supporting audits, addressing operational issues, and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

 

Qualifications

 

·        High school diploma or GED.

·        4–5 years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or distribution operations experience.

·        Experience operating material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

·        Strong knowledge of shipping carriers and processes, including UPS, FedEx, LTL, etc.

·        Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·        Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and make sound decisions.

·        Proficient computer skills, including inventory systems, shipping software, and Microsoft Office.

·        Ability to follow and enforce safety policies and procedures.

·        Ability to lift up to 51 lbs.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

·        Associate degree or higher.

·        Prior leadership or supervisory experience.

·        Customer service experience.

Salary & Benefits

 

The salary range for this position is $[63,000]– $[79,000] annually, plus eligibility for a bonus opportunity with annual payouts distributed in [installments].
