Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: East Edmond Library - Edmond, OK 73034Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $16.62 - $16.62 HourlyTravel Percentage: NegligibleJOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Library Supervisor, the Access Specialist assists members by issuing and receiving library materials, locating books and other materials, managing members’ library accounts, issuing library cards, providing information about library accounts and services, assisting with self-service equipment and technology, and assisting with basic collection maintenance. This position will be assigned to the East Edmond Library, located at I-35 and East 15th Street in Edmond, OK.   The hiring salary for this position is $16.62 hourly.  This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.  This position is not exempt from the federal Fair Labor Standards Act.  The candidate should be available to work all hours the library is open, including some weekends and evenings and have specific availability to work Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm with one evening shift of 12:00 to 9:00 pm and a rotating weekend shift.* *Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the library.   The Metropolitan Library System offers a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees: Health benefits that include medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage paid in full for Employee-only coverage (Family coverage available) Flexible Spending Accounts Vacation Leave @ 8 hours per month Sick leave @ 8 hours per month Twelve paid holidays (subject to date of hire) Defined Contribution (retirement) plan where employee contributes 6% and is matched at 10% (required participation for full-time employees)   QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; and One or more years of customer service experience.
