Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials and finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and a safe, organized warehouse. This position works closely with production and other departments to ensure products are delivered accurately and on time.
Schedule
Monday – Thursday
5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays or as business needs require.
Essential Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments for accuracyÂ
- Pick, package, and prepare customer orders for shipmentÂ
- Load and unload trucks safelyÂ
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if qualified)Â
- Move materials throughout the warehouse and production areasÂ
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory recordsÂ
- Use computers and warehouse software to complete transactionsÂ
- Inspect shipments for damage and report discrepanciesÂ
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentÂ
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirementsÂ
- Assist other departments as needed to support business operationsÂ
Requirements
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalentÂ
- 1–3 years of warehouse or material handling experience (manufacturing environment preferred)Â
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)Â
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systemsÂ
- Ability to read work orders, labels, and shipping documentsÂ
Preferred:
- Experience in fiberglass, plastics, or heavy manufacturing environmentsÂ
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, Oracle, or similar)Â
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentÂ
- Good communication skills with production and logistics teamsÂ
- Basic problem-solving skillsÂ
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasksÂ
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularlyÂ
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reachingÂ
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safelyÂ
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with dust, noise, and varying temperaturesÂ
