Systems Administrator - Senior

LOCATION: Eglin AFB, FL

JOB STATUS: Full-time

CLEARANCE: Active Secret

TRAVEL: 5%

 

 

Astrion is seeking an experienced SE-4 IT Systems Administrator to support end-user operations and infrastructure management as a part of the 96th Cyberspace Test Group at Eglin AFB.  The candidate must be an experienced IT professional with customer service skills.  The candidate will be part of a team managing networking, provisioning and maintaining IT and communications capability for over 500 users in a fast paced, mission centric environment.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Master’s Degree and at least 10 years of relevant IT/Sys Ad experience.  Additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Windows 11 Enterprise desktop environment administration.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex Active Directory environments and maintaining Windows enterprise domains.
  • Microsoft 365 Productivity Suite deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience in Air Force IT customer support functions. 
  • Extensive experience with multiple Air Force networks user account creation and modification in Active Directory management tools.
  • Wide-ranging problem-solving skills across a wide variety of IT hardware items, networks, and software applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Air Force Network and responsibilities at all network management levels.  
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, and Visio).
  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
  • Experience in imaging and deploying computers.
  • Experience in IT equipment management and configuration control.
  • Knowledge of VoIP telephony deployment and admin desired.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS  

  • Active Top Secret clearance

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Perform hands on computer services and be responsible for building and imaging computers in support of the 96 CTG mission. 
  • Respond to customer service requests and maintenance support.
  • Test, troubleshoot and apply corrections to information systems; and apply patches and perform software upgrades.
  • Assist with and manage the implementation and enforcement of all Air Force cybersecurity policies and procedures using Air Force guidance.
  • Accomplish cybersecurity incident monitoring and response.
  • Perform IT property management, hardware, and software configuration management.
  • Assist with and manage the implementation and enforcement of all Air Force cybersecurity policies and procedures using Air Force guidance.
