Responsible for assisting in the administration and development of the women's intercollegiate basketball program. Duties: Assist Head Coach with recruiting Assist Head Coach with scouting and film Assist Head Coach with organization and execution of summer camps Assist Head Coach with scheduling and organizing team related activities Assist Head Coach with player development program Handle all basketball operations: including but not limited to travel arrangements, food, and hotels Monitor academic progress of student-athletes Maintain current knowledge and abides by policies, procedures, and rules of NCAA/HCAC Demonstrates integrity and upholds the values and mission of the University Maintains relationships with media and public to enhance the promotion of the University Supports entire athletic program Other duties appropriate to skills and training as assigned by supervisors Contributes to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the division; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed Other duties as assigned by Head Coach and Director of Athletics Primary Contacts: VP and Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Director, coaching staff, Athletic Training staff, Recreation Coordinators, Coordinator of Athletic and Recreation Facilities, Coordinator of Athletic Operations, student employees, Student Development staff, Admission staff, prospective students and families, enrolled students, Registrar, Faculty Athletic Representative, and other members of the University community as well as the local and outside community. Supervision Exercised: Student athletic trainer, student employees Supervision Received: Head Women's Basketball Coach QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree required Master’s degree preferred Specialized Training: Proficient in the use of: Coaching, University vans, audiovisual, Microsoft, Macintosh, First Aid, and CPR. Preferred proficient in the use of software: Synergy Sports, Fast Scout, Fast Draw, Slate, Boxout Sports.
