Cincinnati, OH 45233 Department: Creative Arts Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor Contact Information: Mark McCafferty, Assistant Professor of Music | Mark.McCafferty@msj.edu, 513-244-44530 Pay: The Student Employee Pay Wage Policy can be found on myMount Evaluation Period: Annual performance evaluations if the student works the entire academic year. If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester. Purpose: Support the MSJ Music/Music Education and Bands through social media management, alumni relations, high school and recruitment correspondence, event assistance, and general tasks that promote the programs and initiatives. Key Responsibilities Social Media Manage and schedule posts across platforms (Instagram, Facebook) Create graphics, write captions, and take photos/videos to highlight departmental news, events and student achievements. Collaborate with Program Director of Music and Music Education to develop engaging content and messaging. Assist with digital marketing materials such as flyers, Music Moment, and newsletters. Alumni/Community Relations Work through past databases to update contacts. Coordinate with other department co-ops and student workers for weekly department emails, updates, and correspondence with alumni on current Creative Arts events. High School & Recruitment Correspondence Writing and mailing physical notes to local high school theatre directors and prospective students. Event Assistance Physical set-up backstage or otherwise. Taking care of instruments and hard copy music. Assist with regular maintenance of pianos. Music Wing Facilities and Assets. Regularly assists with logistics of rehearsals. Other duties and assigned     QualificationsQualifications: Currently enrolled student as Mount St. Joseph University Federal Work Study eligible Completed or currently taking CED 220. Must be able to lift 20lbs, and stand for prolonged periods of time. Experience with social media content creation and marketing a plus. Preferred Skills & Attributes: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) Organized, reliable, and able to work independently. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
