Position Summary

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain process, including planning, scheduling, procurement, inventory management, and logistics. This role ensures that materials and products move efficiently from suppliers to production and ultimately to customers while maintaining cost, efficiency, quality standards and delivery timelines. The role is based in the El Cajon, CA office and will report to the Plant Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals.
Forecast demand and coordinate supply planning to ensure product availability.
Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality materials and services at competitive prices.
Manage supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stock.
Ensure products are delivered on time and within budget.
Utilize data analysis and supply chain metrics to drive business decisions.
Implement best practices in supply chain operations.
Responsible for developing, communicating, and executing the departmental objectives which align with the company plan objectives and sales growth roadmap
Responsible for identifying and providing guidance, monitoring training needs, and the performance of department personnel.

Experience and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business
Proven experience in materials management including industrial level purchasing, MRP, raw materials, MRO, and supplies and services
Experience in global purchasing practices, negotiations, cost accounting and finance
Ability to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
CPSM or CPIM certification required
Technical expertise in all MS Office products and ERP Systems
