Here's What You'll Do:

The House Lead/聽supports individuals with developmental disabilities to have quality of life by promoting the health, safety and well-being of residents. A Direct Support Professional serves as an advocate for our clients.

Essential Functions

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the clients.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administers.
聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform other duties assigned

Education and Experience

  • Minimum Education:聽High School Diploma or GED, CPR/FA, CPI, DSP 1 & 2 present, and Group Home License preferred.
  • Minimum Experience:聽3 + years of professional or personal experience supporting children's with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Bipolar) with challenging behaviors strongly preferred
  • Group home License preferred; if not must be willing to obtain within the first three months of hire
  • Minimum Driving Experience:聽Must have a valid in-state driver鈥檚 license, be over 21, provide current registration and insurance, and have a driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

The Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check, physical, etc.
