Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Plant Operator, you'll work in all aspects of plant and warehouse operations including stocking and retrieving packages and bulk containers, driving a forklift, front-end loader and general housekeeping. The role requires strong mechanical ability and aptitude.

A Sample of What You’ll Do in this Role:

Assist with set up of production lines, inspecting materials, and blending, according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision.
Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production.
Working with manager, accurately document all activities, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines.
Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations.
Report safety or food safety concerns immediately.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role:

4+ years of experience and must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to operate forklift, front-end loader and other equipment
Pellet Mill operations experience a plus
Ability to frequently climb ladders, work from heights, and lift or move up to 50 lbs. while working in a non-climate controlled and often dusty environment
Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
Able to follow written and verbal directions in English and complete the necessary documentation, including using basic math skills
Willing to work overtime hours as needed
High School Diploma or GED
