Job Description


Position Summary:

As a Plant Operator, you'll work in all aspects of plant and warehouse operations including stocking and retrieving packages and bulk containers, driving a forklift, front-end loader and general housekeeping. The role requires strong mechanical ability and aptitude. 


A Sample of What You’ll Do in this Role:

  • Assist with set up of production lines, inspecting materials, and blending, according to scheduled jobs and specific instructions under general supervision.
  • Operate processing equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assist with quality control throughout production.
  • Working with manager, accurately document all activities, including processing, maintenance, and cleaning tasks.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and follow all safety, food safety, FDA, OSHA, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Learn and perform multiple roles (mixing, bagging, forklift, loading) to support plant operations.
  • Report safety or food safety concerns immediately.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 4+ years of experience and must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to operate forklift, front-end loader and other equipment
  • Pellet Mill operations experience a plus
  • Ability to frequently climb ladders, work from heights, and lift or move up to 50 lbs. while working in a non-climate controlled and often dusty environment
  • Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to follow written and verbal directions in English and complete the necessary documentation, including using basic math skills
  • Willing to work overtime hours as needed
  • High School Diploma or GED
