A Day in the Life

Deliver data that drives decisions. As an Analyst in our El Dorado Hills, CA Laboratory, you’ll operate and maintain GC-HRMS instruments, deliver accurate, QC/QA-compliant reports, and help ensure every result is reliable, on time, and ready to make an impact.

The compensation range for this role is $27.00 - $35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

Schedule:

To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Dioxin, PCB, PAH, Pesticides, PBDE, and other semi-volatile compounds using various EPA, client requested and internally developed methods
  • Preparation of data summaries for inclusion in client reports
  • Instrument calibration and maintenance
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving instrumentation and difficult sample matrices
  • Accurate and timely communication to both project management and internal clients
  • Sample and Standard Preparation as needed
  • Maintain organized records of sample preparation and analysis, and equipment maintenance
  • Help address client’s questions or concerns
  • Initiate and address non-conformance issues
  • Comply with Onterris Quality Assurance Program and other policies.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the HRMS-Instrument Group Lead
  • Occasional split shift and/or weekend duties as needed

Your Expertise and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
  • Experience working in a lab
  • Able to sit for long periods of time
  • Look at a computer screen for lengthy periods of time and stay focused
  • Attention to Detail

Preferred Skills

  • Some experience with data analysis.
  • Complex Problem Solving – Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Time Management - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure, maintain high productivity and quality under deadline requirements.
  • Basic office software knowledge (word, excel, powerpoint, etc).
  • Experience with Waters, and Agilent instrumentation and it’s software (Masslynx/Targetlynx)
